You Were Not a Second Thought

Before the noise, before the striving, before the performing — He whispered your name. Beloved. Not after you earned it. Not in spite of who you are. Before. Always before.

You were not a second thought. You were not the plan B of the universe. Scripture says you were chosen before the foundation of the world — not because you were useful, but because you were loved.

I spent years trying to become someone worth choosing, only to discover I had already been chosen. The striving was never required. The love was always the starting point, not the finish line.

Believe Him this morning. Let Him love the tired parts first. You were not a second thought — you were His first intention.
